(RTTNews) - Monday, the National Institute of Statistics announced that the total exports value increased 6.7% on an annual basis to EUR 2.74 billion in November from EUR 2.57 billion a year ago.
Meanwhile, imports dropped 18.4% year-on-year to EUR 3.5 billion in November, compared to EUR 4.3 billion a year earlier. Thus, the trade deficit stood at EUR 804 million in November, narrowing from EUR 1.78 billion deficit last year.
For the January to November period, the trade deficit amounted to EUR 8.7 billion, narrowing from EUR 21.9 billion last year. During the period, exports and imports decreased by 16% and 34.1% respectively.
