EU Conditionally Clears EUR57 Million State Aid For Ford Romania

BRUSSELS -(Dow Jones)- The European Commission Wednesday said it has conditionally cleared EUR57 million of state aid for Ford Romania to help pay for an employee training program.

The commission, the European Union's executive arm, said the aid is in line with EU rules as it targets a verified under investment in training and is limited to no more than 50% of the training costs.

The commission, however, imposed monitoring conditions to ensure the payments are made correctly.
