Romanian leu in 'good' range -cbanker Isarescu

BUCHAREST, July 1 (Reuters) - The Romanian leu is trading in a 'good', sustainable range, but its exchange rate may be threatened by wage policies, central bank governor Mugur Isarescu said on Wednesday.

'We are in an area of sustainability,' Isarescu told reporters. 'In the long-term, the big danger is ... wage trends.'

The leu has regained some ground in recent months, after Romania secured a 20 billion euro financing package led by the International Monetary Fund, and rose up from a record low of 4.3530 per euro set in January.
