Romania says to receive Russian gas "within hours"

BUCHAREST, Jan 20 (Reuters) - Romania will start receiving Russian gas supplies in the next few hours to resume imports halted since Jan. 7, state-controlled pipeline operator Transgaz said on Tuesday.

"We are doing some technical preparations to allow for the Isaccea gas station's safe restart within hours. Gas will start flowing soon after that," Transgaz head Ioan Rusu told Reuters by telephone.
