Romania Aiming to Advertise Itself

08 July 2008 The Romanian Tourism Ministry has given three of the country’s advertising agencies the task of formulating a brand to market the country internationally.

Bucharest has asked that IAA Romania, ARRP and UAPR advise the government on the best way to promote the country. The Tourism Ministry is assigning 75 million euros to the task and hopes that this level of capital will mean that Romania’s brand will be able to compete internationally. One of the key issues that the agencies face is what exactly is Romania’s brand and how it will be presented. The Romanian government hopes the level of investment involved and their collaborative approach will yield results.
