PÖYRY AWARDED EUR 1.8 MILLION ROAD ENGINEERING ASSIGNMENT IN ROMANIA

Pöyry has been awarded an engineering contract by the Romanian Road Administration for the Cristian - Fagaras motorway project in central Romania. Pöyry's share of the contract is EUR 1.8 million. Services will be provided in cooperation with a local partner.

The total length of the road will be about 50 km and the total investment is estimated to be in the region of EUR 250 million. This project is a major step in upgrading the Romanian road network to European Union standards. Pöyry's services include complete design works.

The assignment is Pöyry's second motorway project in Romania and an important milestone in the consolidation of the company's position in the strongly growing transportation market of Romania.
