Iran, Romania discuss agro ties

Romanian Agriculture Minister and Iranian Ambassador to Romania have discussed avenues for further cooperation in the field of agriculture.

In the meeting held in Bucharest, the Iranian envoy Hamid-Reza Arshadi elaborated on Iran's programs for achieving self-sufficiency in agriculture.

Arshadi noted that Iran is ready to export wheat and even tractors to Romania, IRNA reported.

Romanian minister, Decebal Traian Rames, for his part, said agricultural exchanges could as well help strengthen diplomatic ties between the two countries.

He also welcomed Iran's proposal for the exchange of expert delegations.
