Iran, Romania discuss agricultural cooperation

Iran's ambassador to Bucharest met with the Romanian minister of agriculture on Wednesday.

Stressing the need for recognition of capabilities of the two countries in agriculture sector, Hamid Reza Ershadi elaborated on Iran's plan to attain self-sufficiency in the field.

Referring to Iran's capabilities for export of wheat and tractor to other states including Romania, he added that Iran was an importer of the product until a few years ago.

On his part, Decebal Traian Rames pointing to his country's political will for expansion of bilateral relations, said that mutual ties would expand by increasing the volume of trade in agricultural products.

He also welcomed exchange of expert teams as an appropriate step for development of mutual relations.
